I don’t know about you, but I’m a professional at weight loss programs… I swear I am!
I have tried many and they seem to work to a certain point and then I plateau.
I am not lazy by any means. I have a high energy dog – an Australian Shepherd that I walk three times a day plus I play pickleball anywhere from 4-6 times a week for two hours at a time. I know my activity level is beyond the requirements to lose weight – but I can’t. My doctor told me not to worry as I was physically fit – that’s not what I want.
My problem is tummy fat – also known as metabolic syndrome. Many of us have it and unfortunately what I’m learning is that there are a lot of foods that although included in a weight loss program, do in fact help keep that chunky middle.
I have recently learned that there are many factors that keep the fat on – stress, hormones, depression, etc. Did you know that being on the birth control pill earlier in life can also lead to the chunk? I didn’t know… no one ever told me about that side effect.
What’s low in sugar is high in fat and what’s low in fat is high in sugar. So is it time? Time for fresh vegies, fresh fruit and lean protein or beans … BUT never beans and meat protein in the same meal as that is too hard for your body to digest.
A medical group including naturopaths, family physicians and dietitians have developed naturopathic drops that target the hormones, cortisol level, etc., and help balance the body for 3 x the weight loss. Goodbye metabolic syndrome. Hello flat tummy!
